WELCOME TO
Thank you for registering for the DBC LVL1 certification course and congratulations on taking the next step in advancing your career! Below you will find relevant information to allow you to have the most successful certification experience possible.
Pre-Course Survey
One of the things we ask in order to provide a more customized LVL1 experience is for you to complete a short questionnaire. This helps us understand your training background, experience and any specific areas you would like to focus on during the course. Your responses will enable us to tailor the weekend to meet your unique needs and maximize what you get out of LVL1. Thank you for taking the time to complete this short survey.
AGENDA
The course will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and we will strive to conclude the sessions by 4:00 p.m.
Doors will open 30 minutes before class on Saturday to check-in (bring photo i.d). If you show up earlier, we have attached a map of local cafés and eateries where you can pass the time.
Please note that on both days we will break for lunch around 1:00 p.m. If you need food before that time, please feel free to bring whatever snacks/beverages you require.
For lunch, feel free to enjoy one of the local cafés or eateries or have food delivered to DBC.
Additionally, you will be provided with notepad and pen.
What to Expect at LVL1
Presentation of Material
The DBC Fitness Level 1 course begins with an in-depth presentation of the foundational biomechanics principles that govern human movement. You’ll be introduced to the latest research and scientific concepts surrounding the body’s mechanics, injury prevention, and athletic performance optimization. This section sets the groundwork for understanding how movement affects overall function and how to apply these principles to your own or your clients' performance.
Demonstration
After the theoretical presentation, the instructors will provide live demonstrations of proper movement patterns, warm-up techniques, and exercise execution. These demonstrations give a visual understanding of the biomechanics concepts discussed earlier, showcasing real-time corrections and adaptations for improving efficiency and preventing injury. You’ll witness advanced techniques used in athlete performance training and see firsthand how to analyze and correct improper movement patterns.
Hands-On Work with Coaches
The final portion of the course is hands-on, where participants will work directly with DBC coaches to practice and apply the learned concepts. Under close supervision, you'll engage in guided exercises, assess movements, and receive personalized feedback on your technique. This experiential learning allows you to refine your skills in biomechanics, ensuring you're equipped to confidently implement these methods with clients or athletes.
